The Hippy Nuts are a gang of Southern-rock lovin' New Yorkers. Frontwoman and authentic Texan Kathena Bryant is a pistol of a performer with a voice to match; she's Annie Oakley in a rock band. On guitar, Tim Champion brings a bluesy cool--the sort of hip one might expect from a Seattle native. The Nuts love good grooves so the Nuts drummer Joe and Bassist Jaded make sure they keep it grooving. Their music recalls the roots of rock n roll, deeply seeded in folk and country soil, with an updated freshness appropriate to NYC. Never showing up without their sense of humor locked and loaded,
these self-proclaimed "nuts" do more than entertain: they make you smile.
